Yuanfen Fest: Claming is now OPEN!

Finally, Yuanfen Fest's claiming post is now up! You've sissied those prompts, now it's time to grab one or two to your liking! Exercise your writing skills and *deep breath* make those lovely Baeksoo scenarios come to life! But before anything else, please go over our claiming rules~
Anyone can claim a prompt. You can claim one even if you didn't submit a prompt! A dreamwidth/AO3 account is not required, but would be greatly preferred. In case you don't have an account in either site, we would still be requiring you to provide a username that we can associate with your work once we post our reveals.
Claiming a prompt means adhering to Yuanfen Fest's rules and deadlines. Do keep in mind that we have deadlines we're expecting our participants to follow in order for everything to go smooth sailing!
Claiming is on a first come, first serve basis. The earlier you sign up, the higher the chance that you'll get the prompt you like! However, we'll be giving you the option to include your 2nd or 3rd prompt choice in case someone had already claimed your #1 choice.
You can claim your own prompt. Just fill up our claiming form! Alternatively, you can also self-prompt if you failed to submit one during the prompting period or didn't see anything you like from our archive.
No discussion of claimed prompt(s) in public. Please refrain from discussing your claimed prompt(s) on your SNS accounts until after reveals. Remember that the mystery is what makes it even better!
You can only claim one prompt at a time. You can claim as many prompts as you want, but you will only be allowed to claim another once you finished your output for your first claim. This rule applies both to claimed prompts and self-prompts. The earlier you submit your output for your first claim, the higher the chance that you can claim a second prompt, a third, and so forth!
Dropping out is highly discouraged. Our last drop-out date is on June 5 so we can free dropped prompts accordingly. However, we know life can get really unpredictable sometimes so should you feel the need to drop out of the fest after the said date, please shoot us an email ASAP at yuanfenbd@gmail.com or send us a DM at @yuanfenbd on Twitter. Please don't just completely disappear on us. Doing so will be extremely rude and might cause you to get blacklisted from our possible future round.
Primary email: Make sure that you give us your active email address because this is where we'll send you your claiming confirmation + submission details!
Alternative contact information: In case we can't reach you through email, where else can we contact you? Kindly give us your Twitter or Tumblr username.
Prompt code: This is your top choice or the prompt you really, really want to write.Indicate the code of the prompt you want to claim i.e YFBD-012. Please don't confuse the code with the row number of the prompt!
Prompt code (2): In case your #1 prompt has already been claimed by another writer, give us your 2nd choice!
Prompt code (3): In case your #1 and #2 prompt choice has already been claimed (which we hope doesn't happen, but is inevitable), kindly give us your 3rd choice!
Any messages?: This is completely optional but if you have any notes/concerns/suggestions, we'd love to hear you out.
Self-prompting
What is self-prompting?
Self-prompting is for writers who want to participate in Yuanfen Fest's first round but were: (A) unable to submit a prompt during our prompting period, (B) didn't see anything they like from our prompt archive and would like to write a fic based from their own prompt, and (C) already have a Baeksoo fic in the making that they want to be included in YFBD's first collection.
All claiming rules apply to self-prompters. This means you still have to follow our check-in deadlines and minimum word count. In case you also want to claim a prompt from our prompt archive, you will only be allowed to do so after you finished and submitted your self-prompted fic first. This rule will be strictly implemented in order to avoid having multiple prompts pile up on a single writer's plate. You have plenty of time to write so let's do this one at a time! 😉
Self-prompting is open until April 28.
Main username: Please provide us the username where you usually post your fics under (i.e yuanfenbd @ AO3). In case you don't have an AO3/LJ/AFF/Tumblr account, just kindly give us the username you would like to be associated with your fic once we post our reveals.
Primary email: Make sure that you give us your active email address because this is where we'll send you your claiming confirmation + submission details!
Alternative contact information: In case we can't reach you through email, where else can we contact you? Kindly give us your Twitter or Tumblr username.
Prompt: Just like submitting a prompt, kindly give us a short description of your fic!
Rating: Kindly check the MPAA rating that applies to the content of your work! In case you're not yet sure about the final rating of your fic, please check the highest possible rating that you estimate it to be (i.e if you think your fic's rating will range anywhere from 'G' to 'R', then choose 'R').
Trigger warnings: Does your fic contain sensitive material (i.e character death, mental illness, gore)? If so, kindly list down all of them here. If you're unsure about which can be considered as trigger warnings, contact the mods!
Any messages?: This is completely optional but if you have any concerns or suggestions, we'd love to hear you out.
Good luck and may you get your top choice!
